Benjamín Salinas, CEO of TV Azteca, welcomes two new signals

The reinvention of TV Azteca continues with the launch of two new proposals: adn40 (renovation of Proyecto 40), on the air since last March 13, and the creation of a+, a network of regional channels available starting Monday, March 20 in 5 cities in the Mexican Republic. At the presentation event, Benjamín Salinas, CEO of TV Azteca, assured 2017 will be a year of great innovations.

“In 2016 we succeeded because we dared to innovate, we managed to consolidate Azteca 13 and Azteca 7, but 2017 will be a year of increasingly more innovation. Mexico changed and we have to change as well. Each bar we launch has a cost of US$26 million. We these two proposals, we are one step closer to the reinvention of TV azteca” commented the executive.

Luciano Pascoe, deputy general director of adn40, assured this proposal will have three big contents: News, sports products, and opinion slot. “It is a channel that is aired on HD in the metropolitan area on 40.1 and in the entire Mexican Republic it is on 1.2. It is on all the pay TV platforms: Sky, Izzi, TotalPlay, it has huge distribution that reaches more than 85 million people”.

Meanwhile, Ricardo Vázquez, director of Televisoras Regionales and head of a+, seels “channels that serve the local audience, with channels that will talk about different contents. We carry out 460 hours of production for each local television station, reaching 79 million people”.
