Univision decided to interrupt the usual programming to include the last-minute news on the  COVID-19 world pandemic that they will offer TV viewers through their traditional media and digital platforms, newscasts, and the latest events on the spread of the coronavirus.

It is also broadcasting public service announcements with Dr. Juan Rivera, the Head Medical Correspondent at Univision, through which it informs the Hispanic community on the coronavirus and what must be done to remain safe during this period.

Additionally, Univision Noticias is presenting a special, Diario del Coronavirus, at 3pm every day. At a local level, Univision´s stations are offering the latest news via half-hour and one-hour specials, as well as brief newsletters every hour to ensure that the audience is up to date with the most recent information.

“We continue to actively monitor the current situation and following the advice and orientation of the federal and state agents as well as health agencies, to evaluate the evolution of the events and aligning our programming,” they reported in a statement.
