Univision´s La Fabrica UCI premieres digital series First Descent: Michoacan as part of content alliance with Red Bull Media House

Univision Communications, Inc. has announced an alliance between La Fábrica UCI and Red Bull Media House to bring original, high-quality content to English and Spanish-speaking audiences across its digital platforms. The initial offering from the collaboration, First Descent: Michoacan, debuted online via {uvideos.com} and {redbull.com/firstdescent}. The new five-part original video series, filmed entirely in HD and presented in both Spanish and English, focuses on six professional athletes who have come together to find the holy grail of adventure kayaking in Michoacan, Mexico. Viewers will follow Red Bull athletes Dane Jackson and Rafa Ortiz, along with international pro-kayakers Joel Kowalski (Canada), Seth Ashworth (UK), Juan Antonio de Ugarte (Peru) and Ciaran Heurteau (Ireland) during a thrill-packed three-week trek through rural western Mexico in search of rivers and waterfalls they have only seen in satellite photos and maps. During the course of the expedition, they take on the Upper Alseseca River, Upper Jalacingo River, Rio Hoyo del Aire, Rio Cajones and Rio Cupatitzio, among others, and even experience the dangers of traveling through the drug cartel-controlled area of Michoacan. The weekly episode of First Descent: Michoacan will be published online every Monday at 9am.
