Buzanello is currently Country Manager for Brazil and Head of Distribution Revenue for WBD in the Latin America and U.S. Hispanic regions
Brazilian executive Vera Buzanello, who began her career at Discovery in 1998, will be the leader for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic of Discovery Global, the new company created from the separation of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) to bring together the group’s linear channels.
Buzanello is currently Country Manager for Brazil and Head of Distribution Revenue for WBD in the Latin America and U.S. Hispanic regions.
She will take on a role similar to the one currently held by Fernando Medin, who will remain president of WBD for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic until the company separation is completed. Medin will become international president of Discovery Global after the restructuring, as was recently announced.
Buzanello has held several leadership positions in distribution and affiliate sales. In previous roles, she served as Senior VP of Distribution for Discovery Latin America/U.S. Hispanic, where she oversaw the entire distribution structure for the Latin American portfolio, including strategic sales planning, goal achievement, contract negotiations, and client relations.
Before joining Discovery, Buzanello worked in Sales and Marketing at Multicanal Telecomunicações and Net Brasil. She holds a postgraduate degree in Marketing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ).
