ViX continues increasing its original production for the Spanish-speaking market, and its SVP of Development, Vincenzo Gratteri, assured that since its inception, the platform has explored different genres and formats, aiming to satisfy its international audiences.

“ViX’s offer in terms of originals per year continues to be very high, both in series and in movies and scripted; We have drama, comedy, unscripted, and melodramas, covering all genres in order to continue satisfying our audience. We also have our sports offer, so it will be a very intense 2023,” Gratteri said.

“In this first stage, our main focus is Mexico, the US Hispanic, and Latin America, but when great and important opportunities present themselves such as Las Pelotaris, we will continue in the same line, this will also be the same regarding artists who cover one or two territories,” he added.

He mentioned that, between developments and projects that are in production and post-production, “we have explored many different formats and genres from more sophisticated formats such as Colapso to very mainstream series due to the strength of the franchise, such as Mujeres Asesinas or Volver a Caer, we do not have a preference for a particular format, it is part of ViX’s vocation to have a great variety”.

To conclude he said he was aware of the competition in the streaming universe; however, “we also know that we have a great advantage for being part of the TelevisaUnivision family due to what this implies in the market and also with the wealth of Televisa’s IPs, which we can adapt or make remakes.”
