Filmando en Latinoamérica en 2011, Fernández recib
Having first received a degree as an architect in Buenos Aires, the Argentinian director Watta Fernandez decided to return to school, but this time in a totally different field. In 2003, Fernandez started at the Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematografica (the national school of cinematic experimentation and realization) where he obtained a degree as a filmmaker. In 2009, Watta found himself in the world of advertising, and he began directing commercials. The director won a Lapiz de Oro award for the commercial Daltónico. His newfound career continued with one of the most highlighted commercials to date. Argentinos for TyC Sports, which he realized in 2012, was awarded as the best commercial at the global Ibero America event, obtaining two Ojos de Oro, one Laiz de Oro and a Diente de Oro. It also received gold at the Wave in Brazil and in the New York Festival.Filming in Latin America in 2011, Fernandez received an Achap award in Chile and four golds and a Grand Prix with Entel and Cerveza Cristal. Watta Fernandez was also named the director of the year in that same country.
