Emiliano Pernía: Es fundamental arriesgar, así las
Born in Argentina, Emiliano Pernia studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires and film direction at Cievyc. He kicked off his career editing for a production company in his hometown, where he later got into visual effects, putting into practice his knowledge of edition software, compositing, color and 3D conformation.He subsequently left for Mexico where he took part in a Televisa project celebrating the nations bicentennial, and where he garnered several nominations for the Pantalla de Cristal awards. In 2011 he traveled to India and joined a team as compositing supervisor on the short film Shri Hanuman Chalisa. Pernia then got started in digital, studying everything from image editing to digital art and finally focusing on color, which I enjoy a lot he says. He currently works for the postproduction company Right Cut Media as VFX supervisor, compositor and chiefly as a colorist.Pernia says that to do his work its essential to have original material of the highest quality in order to have the greatest flexibility for working in color, since everything is done digitally with material taken with cameras like the Arri Alexa or a Canon. You can emphasize the dominant color you want, adjust tones, and highlight the person or action you want to help tell the story he said.Innovation means creating novelties, and I believe these novelties are the sum of creativity plus a dash of risk-taking. Its fundamental to take risks, the colorist says with regard to innovating in U.S. advertising.Production Company: Right Cut Media, USAContact: {Consuelo Becerra;consuelo@rightcutmedia.com}T +1-305-479-2929{Watch video;www.produ.tv/popup.html?noti=7457}
