General Motors takes 10th place in annual Latina Style 50 Report

General Motors took 10th place in the annual Latina Style 50 Report out of the 50 best companies for Latinas to work for, judged and ranked by Latina Style Magazine since 2008.”We’re so pleased to receive this recognition by Latina Style Magazine, as it reinforces GM’s commitment to women in the automotive industry and the significant contributions of Latinas and their increasingly essential role in our society, said Grace Lieblein, VP of global purchasing and supply chain. “GM is committed to global diversity and inclusion, which involves the ongoing support and encouragement of education, economic empowerment, and business opportunities”.The magazine began issuing the report on the top 50 in 1998, and since then, GM has been on this exclusive list for 14 years. GM improved its position significantly this year, rising from 34th place on the list in 2012.The Latina Style 50 Report is an annual evaluation that measures the awareness and sensitivity of U.S. firms to the needs and ambitions of Latinas in the workplace. The report is the result of an intense search with the collaboration of more than 1,000 of the leading U.S. companies.
