P&G’s new multi-chambered detergent for clothes adds a new, innovative dimension to the job of doing the laundry. Tide Pods, a liquid detergent in small, single-use capsules, is a three-in-one product that cleans, removes stains and brightens.The brand recently partnered with fashion designer and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) member Tracy Reese. The association is part of P&G’s washable-fashion partnership with the CFDA in response to the demand among women for a better way to wash stylish fashion designs that historically have not been on friendly terms with washing machines, according to Raquel Rozas, Tide brand manager.The spokeswoman noted the positive reaction among consumers who have used Tide Pods, particularly among U.S. Hispanic users, who have welcomed the convenience and optimum cleaning results the product offers. Tide Pods particularly target the busy mom who needs a trustworthy product that leaves clothes looking and feeling like new. “Understanding what consumers need is at the core of our research and development process to create products and solutions that make the laundry regimen easy and effective” Rozas said. Innovation guided by technology follows a long Tide tradition of offering superior cleaning power with cutting-edge technology.
