FIAP announces consumers’ main role for their 47th edition

The Ibero American Advertising Festival (FIAP) informed that in this edition they will have a new category in which consumers will be able to choose their favorite piece. A statement in their {website;http://www.fiapawards.com/articulo.php?sec=articulo&anio=&lan=es&id=58}reads: “For the first time, a creativity festival gives a space to those who are, the end goal of your messages: consumers.”With no extra cost for participants, consumers in the region will be able to vote for their favorite advertising message and for the most convincing one. The entire process will be held on social networks.This category is one of the 23 new areas that FIAP included in their award list. They also added the Big Bang, through five categories: Best concept, Best strategy, Best use of local culture, Boldest Idea, and Most Innovative Message. Another novelty is the award for effectiveness, given by advertisers.This time the concept is FIAP 2036, a call to imagine what the future holds for the industry. That is the origin of the innovative and unconventional categories they are incorporating.The submission period ends on April 11th. The festival will take place May 18th, 19th and 20th in the Intercontinental Presidente Hotel in Mexico City.
