Elementos que inspiran a Luciana Cani de LAPIZ

Luciana Cani, SVP, Executive Creative Director at LAPIZ, shared her basic creativity aspects in a post de the website of Leo Burnett Chicago, the network the agency belongs to. The executive was consulted on things that inspire and mentioned three basic elements: children’s books, biographies, podcasts, photography, traveling and flowers. “Sometimes you need to change your focus in order to be more creative” she said when she explained that one of the things that inspire are children’s books. She started reading this type of book after a postgraduate course on this type of material when she was going through tough times with her professional choice. Cani even wrote, illustrated and published a children’s book. “It opened my mind to different ways of illustrating and new techniques” she mentioned. She began collecting children’s books from all around the world and “started to fall in love with advertising.”Cani loves real stories. That is why she said she was addicted to biographies, books of letters and diaries, and anything that portrays a real life. She also listens to many podcasts to her commute every day. Personal projects have also helped her to be creative, she says “they are a way to challenge myself without constraints or short deadlines.” Her first personal projects were related to photography, an activity she is passionate about and which she currently practices at a family scale. Her biggest pleasure is traveling. “You can learn, be inspired and connect with a different culture” said Cani referring to this. Every Friday, the executive takes flowers to her office. “I need to be happy and work in a good environment to be happy” she explained.
