Combate Americas, the world’s premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports and media franchise, has begun scaling its digital audience and monetizing its various platforms. To help lead the effort, the sports league has engaged full-service, cross-cultural agency Pinta. Pinta will provide digital content, media planning and buying services to Combate Americas, including with programmatic and video monetization, as well as strategic partnerships and e-commerce services. Founded by CEO Campbell McLaren, who is also a Co-Founder of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Combate Americas has grown exponentially since launching six years ago. The league has multiple broadcast partners internationally and will stage upwards of 30 multi-card events this year. “In a few short years, we’ve been able to grow a well-known brand with a passionate and engaged audience. Our ratings on broadcast partners such as Univision and Televisa are explosive, and our ticket sales continue to grow,” said McLaren. “We are now in a place where we aim to monetize these audiences, continuing to provide them with the exciting action they expect from Combate, but also capitalizing on the huge and engaged numbers we are seeing. In my experience interacting with agencies of all shapes and sizes, nobody was better suited to help us than Pinta.” “As Pinta has evolved, so too have our capabilities. Although much of our work continues to be marketing client products to grow their audience base, we are also laser focused on helping them drive revenue,” said Mike Valdes-Fauli, President & CEO of Pinta. “With that in mind, we were thrilled to partner with Combate Americas on this mission, working with one of the most exciting new properties in sports and getting to flex our commercial muscles across a wide array of strategies.”
