Shutterstock has announced a new premium Editorial Video service that is already provided for licensees. Critical Past, Celebrity Footage and Viral Hog are some of the new partners that will distribute high-resolution video content via this area of Shutterstock’s Editorial Video, while London Entertainment will also add high-quality video through the same service. “Shutterstock´s mission is to develop a complete global editorial offer that provides clients with the news, entertainment, fashion and sports content they need, when they need it. The launch of Editorial Video completes the service provided by our editorial business and complements the photos, rights and licenses, live-events coverage and all the other services we’re known for,” said Shuttercock VP Editorial Candice Murray. Murray highlighted three areas of the company’s expansion: content, partnerships and simplified licensing. “With access to over 250,000 clips at the time of the launch, our Editorial Video product offers top-quality video content featuring the best live and archived clips of news, entertainment, fashion and UGC (User-Generated Content). Having access to this diverse range of video content is essential for brands, producers and media organizations seeking to tell fresh stories that reflect a constantly changing world,” she said. The simplified license model allows the Editorial Video collection to satisfy a variety of client needs and at the same time guarantee an easy-to- navigate experience based on quality. “By adjusting prices to the clip level, clients avoid prices per second or by format and can dedicate more time to the content selection process.” UGC is a unique content category. “We have partnered with Jukin Media to satisfy the increased demand for User-Generated Content requested by brands and agencies,” Murray added. “What is so innovative about Jukin Media’s UGC is that they have a team of people who monitor social-media platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Twitter to identify trending content, buy it from the creators and then provide it to partners such as Shutterstock Editorial so we can amplify that content across all Latin America.”
