Sergio Alcocer

Sergio Alcocer, Founder of Rest of the World, has joined with Circulo Creativo USA as its regional leader out of Austin. “I’m very excited!” said Pesident Flor Leibaschoff of the Circulo. “Sergio is someone I admire tremendously, especially now that he’s supporting the Circulo and the Hispanic market in general. We share an interest in new talent – it’s one of the Circulo’s priorities and we’re very strong about promoting it.” For Alcocer, now is a time for giving back. “The decade just begun marks the growing maturity of our market and there is a great deal of Latino talent ready to lead any ad agency in the world. The Circulo could play an important role in bringing us together and motivating us. And I’m very enthusiastic about being a part of that.” New program Leibaschoff let it be known that Circulo Creativo USA is working on a new program entitled Portfolio SOS, which seeks to promote young talent. “We give young folks the chance to have a private 50-minute session with a creative director who will help them from his experience. The idea is to have a couple of sessions with each youth, during which the Circulo will match him or her up with a creative director, depending on their mutual interests, to work on whatever related topic comes along,” Leibaschoff said. Alcocer will serve as mentor of the program. “I’m interested in education programs for new talent, above all for those born in the USA. I think it’s so important to bring together those who form a part of our market. And while I expect that having in-person meetings this year will continue to be complicated, we will try to add value to the virtual projects. See more details here about the program
