Somos Distribution will represent The Liberators film series in the U.S.

Somos Distribution signed an agreement with Wanda Films to represent the series of films The Liberators, productions that recount the lives of several heroes from Latin American countries’ Independences such as José Martí, Miguel Hidalgo (“El Cura Hidalgo”), José Artigas, and José de San Martín, among others, in the United States.The final collection will also include Simón Bolívar, Túpac Amaru, and Joaquim José Da Silva Xavier (Tiradentes) and will be available as part of the Somos Distribution catalogue for the next Natpe, which will be taking place in Miami.The Liberators film series is a collection of 8 films. The series expresses the common ideas of these great men, their illusions, failures, defeats and triumphs, with the particularity that each production is made in the countries of origin and with directors native to the particular country (Antonio Serrano in Mexico, Fernando Pérez in Cuba, Marcelo Gomes in Brazil, César Charlone in Uruguay, Tristán Bauer in Argentina).“With The Liberators series, the catalogue of Somos Distribution gets a great honor, because we can offer our clients films that are a jewel not only because of their production values, but because of the relevance of these stories. At the moment we have already rolled the first 4 films, of which 3: Martí, Hidalgo, and San Martín will be available for Natpe,” commented José María Morales, CEO of Wanda Films.
