León Krauze joins Noticiero Univisión in Los Angeles

León Krauze, Televisa journalist who hosted Hora 21, the prestigious primetime newscast of 24-hour news and opinion channel ForoTV, gave an emotional farewell to his audience.León left Televisa to join the nationwide Noticiero Univisión from Los Angeles. Since the launch of ForoTV in February of 2010, he had hosted Hora 21, the 9pm news space to which he gave his own style with original commentary that quickly resonated with its audience.The farewell took place during the newscast this past Friday, October 28th. He warmly acknowledged colleagues, correspondents and shared anecdotes from the almost two years of weekday broadcasts of Hora 21.León, age 36, comes from a family of accomplished writers. He is the son of Mexican historian Enrique Krauze and research journalist Isabel Turrent. His brother is a novelist, and he himself, aside from being a journalist, has written novels, hosted radio shows, has been a newspaper columnist, and has covered for Mexico many U.S. events, such as the presidential elections and the attacks to the World Trade Center in New York.
