La Teacher de Inglés debuts on WAPA America

On Monday, July 2, viewers will get to enjoy the popular Colombian telenovela, La Teacher de Inglés (The English Teacher)which combines family drama, language barriers and a complicated love storyon WAPA America. WAPA America is available across the country on all major cable, satellite and telco providers. The novella airs at 2pm Monday-Friday and it is produced by Caracol TV.The telenovela-comedy introduces viewers to Kike, owner of a feminine undergarment tailoring business in Colombia who is interested in expanding into the American market. However, theres one major problem: he doesnt speak English. He looks to his cousin Luis Fernando, who lives in the U.S., for help. Luis is involved in the illegal drug market and sees Kikes business venture as a solution to his problems.Kike decides to take English classes, where he meets Pili, La Teacher de Ingles. Pili is a charming and focused woman who has taken care of her family since losing her parents in a tragic accident. The telenovela is made up of a strong Colombian cast lead by Carolina Gómez and Víctor Mallarino, alongside Juan Baptista and Isabel Cristina Estrada. La Teacher de Inglés presents the best in Colombian humor, and is part of the wide variety of programming we offer for the Caribbean Hispanic community in the U.S. The series was very well-received among the audience in Puerto Rico and were happy to make it available to our U.S. viewers, said Jimmy Arteaga, VP of Programming for WAPA America.
