Univision promises more social interaction for Premios Juventud

Viewers will have the opportunity to get involved for Univision’s 2012 Premios Juventud youth awards show leading up to, during and after the Thursday, July 19 broadcast. Including live backstage streaming, fan questions for celebrities via Twitter and exclusive coverage via social media, this year’s event is taking a step-up toward interactivity. Also, for the first time, viewers will be able to choose the best dressed men and women on the red carpet through Twitter with the winners being announced during the broadcast. “Our community has demonstrated their passion and excitement for Univision’s content across all of our platforms, and Premios Juventud is one of several ongoing opportunities to pay it forward by truly making our fans part of one of the most popular award shows on television for young Hispanics” said David Beck, VP and general manager of Social Media for Univision Communications. “Premios Juventud is truly our fans’ choice awards. Each and every winner has been voted for and selected by our fans. Year after year we strive to make the celebration a unique experience for our viewers and this year’s efforts are unprecedented, as fans will get to choose the best-dressed celebrities, among other exciting activities we have planned” added Cisco Suarez, senior VP of Special Events at Univision.
