Former executive from Discovery Camilo Bernal is now distributing for the new channel SOi TV

Camilo Bernal, a former executive at Discovery and a driving force for multiple Internet businesses is now in charge of distribution for the new channel SOi TV, which began transmissions in February of this year on the open digital signal, and airs on the .3 frequency of Telemundo within 15 prime markets in the U.S.SOi TV’s main focus is public opinion alongside entertainment, something the company has coined as opitainment. Multiplatform audience participation is an important aspect as well. Eligio Cedeño, Venezuelan businessman living in Miami, is the main investor in the project. Julian Isaac is CEO, alongside Rogelio Jau as consultant and Kenneth Mathison as VP of Finances. The SOi headquarters is in the Imagina US production building in Medley, Florida. Bernal is an expert with more than 20 years of experience in entertainment development and marketing within traditional and new media. During his eight years at Discovery, he headed the launch of new TV digital, interactive, mobile content, and pay-per-view services.
