DLA joins the commemoration of NATPE’s 50th anniversary in Miami

DLA, a leader in entertainment solutions for VOD digital platforms in Latin America and the Caribbean, announced an agreement with NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives) to become a top sponsor of NATPE||Miami 2013, one of the world’s most important events for buying and selling television content. As part of the agreement, DLA will co-sponsor the official opening night party and the commemoration of NATPE’s 50th anniversary. The company will also have an extensive brand presence in select exhibit areas and will lead a discussion session to analyze the evolution of non-linear platforms in the entertainment industry. Through its sponsorship, DLA aims to strengthen its relations with its main commercial partners and support the launch of NEON, its new VOD product for OTT platforms in Latin America. NATPE||Miami 2013 will be held from January 28 through 30 at Fontainebleau Resort Miami Beach and is expected to attract 5,000 television, technology and advertising executivesfrom more than 70 countries around the world. “NATPE is the perfect forum for industry leaders to evaluate the many opportunities in Latin America for non-linear platforms, a market segment that is gaining more strength every day across the region,” commented Antonio Barreto, DLA’s CEO. Barreto, one of the most respected leaders in the regional Pay TV industry, will be the main panelist in a NATPE speaker session, “Transitioning to a New World of Online Entertainment: International Markets for Non-linear Platforms.” The session, scheduled for Wednesday, January 30 at 1pm, will include some of the top figures in Latin America’s television industry, among them Víctor Kong, Chief Digital Officer of the Cisneros Group; and Henry Martínez, EVP & Managing Director, Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic.
