Charytín joins MegaTV with new variety show

MegaTV introduced Charytín Goyco, who will join the cast of the station with a new variety show starting in April. Raúl Alarcón, president of SBS, made the announcement at a party at his residence.At the event, PRODU spoke with the Dominican talk show host about her thoughts on this new stage of her career. “It’s great joining La Mega. It’s going to be a bright, fun show, the details of which are still being defined. It’s a new phase in my professional life and I’m happy it is with MegaTV,” said Goyco.Alfredo Schwarz, VP of Operations and Production of MegaTV commented on the announcement: “Tonight is the beginning of many big surprises we’ll have at La Mega. We’re focusing on entertainment, on shows like Charytín’s, with music, interviews; it will be the Charytín we were all missing on the screen.”“We want to position Mega as a channel of fun and entertainment, with counter-programming: when the other networks show novelas we will show entertainment. People want have fun, they want to enjoy being Hispanic, and we fortunately have a lineup of hosts that are not targeting a specific nationality. We have a true Hispanic channel,” added Schwarz.
