Azteca: Destino is a classic telenovela with a strong theme

Destino, the new telenovela of Azteca Novelas officially kicked off production March 19th in Mexico City. The full cast and Azteca Novelas director Elisa Salinas assembled for the event. Destino is produced by Maricarmen Marcos, who told PRODU this is the first original story for her, and with it will try to make 7:30pm a block for telenovelas.Starring Paola Núñez, Mauricio Islas and Margarita Gralia, Destino is an original story by Gabriel Santos and Paz Aguirre. Its the first time I produce an original story; all others have been adaptations or free versions, but with this project we want to continue with classic melodrama, with strong overtones, secrets and intrigue, said Marcos.The producer pointed out that given the number of different media available to viewers today, Its important to keep in mind areas such as digital. Being present in social media is important and Ive been immersed in it ever since I produced La loba, added Marco.She said theyre trying to make 7:30pm a telenovela block and develop that habit among viewers. Marco also mentioned the story will include product integrations, to give opportunities for brands to have an organic presence and be part of the context.Destino will feature 120 hours on air. It will be shot on location in Mexico City and will premiere April 8th at 7:30pm.
