Azteca: We have the world’s most powerful technological tools at our disposal

20 years after Azteca won the bid for a communications group in Mexico, Ricardo Salinas Pliego, President of Grupo Salinas, said in his blog that the company now has the main technological tools to better deliver content to their viewers.“We have the world’s most powerful technological tools at our disposal, because we have invested hundreds of millions of dollars in production capabilities as evidenced by the new Azteca Novelas facilities and our Ajusco studios,” said Pliego. He pointed out that two decades ago, the company’s reality was different: “from day one it was incredibly challenging; the company had obsolete equipment and had no money to operate, we had practically no clients and the audience was very small.”“It is precisely the technological changes that allows us to anticipate the next years will be difficult: we’re going to have to continue to work hard and smart to achieve our goals. Eventually there will be more competition, but that shouldn’t worry us but rather motivate us,” added Pliego. In his blog, he acknowledged the work of those who have been part of Azteca: “We can’t forget that nothing we have achieved would have been possible without everyone’s efforts. I want to thank the thousands of people that have been part of Azteca these past two decades, because each of you contributed to build this solid and successful company.”
