As part of the catalog of its Hispanic division, High Noon Entertainment brings to the upcoming LA Screenings a broad spectrum of projects that include a docu-reality series, a makeover format, and several scripted drama and comedy projects.“The docu-reality series revolves around a family that competes in the Mexican rodeo, while the makeover format focuses more on small family businesses. The latter is extremely attractive for ad sales,” told PRODU Jim Berger, CEO of High Noon Entertainment. When asked about recent sales from its Hispanic unit High Noon Latino, he said that, in addition to placing two series on Tr3s in the U.S. (Divas Del Azúcar and Familia De Circo), they sold to Discovery en Español a documentary series that takes place in Mexico.“Divas Del Azúcar premiered with great ratings on Tr3s. If the series is signed for a second season, we would achieve two goals: on the one hand, it would validate our creative instinct about what we think appeals to our audience, and on the other, it would strengthen our position in the area of realities. That would give us a boost to continue to present new projects,” added Berger. The executive also said the company plans to pitch other genres to its buyers. “We’re developing several concepts in the genres of competitions and sitcoms. We are presently focused on our current buyers and the demographics of their audiences,” he added.
