Nat Geo Mundo presents Las Fieras del Fútbol, a show that takes viewers off the field to explain how the mind and body work together for an amazing play that is sure to excite the fans. The thrilling four-part series premieres Saturday, May 24 at 9pm ET/PT on Nat Geo Mundo and explores the worlds most popular sport: soccer. Las Fieras del Fútbol takes viewers behind the scenes to uncover the factors that contribute to a players performance, the quality of the game and even how the material for uniforms can make a difference.Experts analyse the game of some of the best known players to understand how they can do what they do on the field. The physical make-up of a player like Lionel Messi is what defines his game, his short stature combined with his calf muscles and quadriceps allow him to have explosive power and control of the ball on the soccer field. Cristiano Ronaldos vertical jump shows the intense connection between his brain and muscles to move forward quickly. Radamel Falcao has an incredible ability to slow the ball down through coordination and muscle synergy he rotates his quadriceps and calves stabilized by the lumbar region and this allows him to catch the ball at the edge of his foot, stopping his opponent from taking the ball.
