Producer Pedro Damián is in the casting phase of Muchacha italiana viene a casarse. Its a remake of the 1969 Argentinean story by Delia González, produced in Mexico by Ernesto Alonso in 1971. It had 209 episodes and was the first telenovela to be exported.The 2014 version will star Livia Brito and José Ron, who will play the original roles performed by Angélica María and Ricardo Blume. It will premiere at 4pm replacing La gata.This time slot has become primetime and I like that. Its a good story that was produced by Ernesto Alonso in 1971, and it set the bar at the time. I hope what we do has the same response from the audience. The story by Delia González talks about woman of Mexican descent born in Italy who is thirsty for live. One of the main goals in life is getting married and having children, said the producer.Damián added the novela is appropriate for the entire family and seeks to inspire young people. It deals with the illusion of marriage, a concept that is currently seen as something superficial.
