Paramount Channel launches on Dish Mexico and increases its reach to over 7 million subscribers in the country

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) – The Americas and Dish México announce the launch of the entertainment brand Paramount Channel on their satellite television system – with content for the entire family – as part of the cable operator’s programming offerings. Through this new acquisition, Paramount Channel increases its reach to over 7 million subscribers in the country since its launch in November 2014. As of today, February 12th, the network will be available throughout the entire country as part of Dish Mexico’s basic package. “Our partnership with Dish Mexico strengthens the Paramount Channel brand in Mexico, meeting a growing demand for high-quality films among movie fans and co-viewing families alike. Under the studio’s iconic library, Paramount Channel will be the go-to destination for movie fans in Latin America, as we continue to rapidly penetrate the market,” stated Rita Herring, SVP of Distribution for Viacom International Media Networks – The Americas.“Dish Mexico offers the best Pay TV experience and continues to expand our entertainment offerings for all of our subscribers. Based on this objective, we have selected Paramount Channel’s high-quality content, which will be available through our basic package,” stated Benjamín Ramírez Lozano, Marketing director for Dish Mexico.
