The cast and production of the fourth season of the original Telemundo Studios superseries El Señor de los Cielos (60×60’), visited Mexico as part of the launching, on Monday, March 28th at 10pm. There, the star of the series, Rafael Amaya, said that he has managed to capitalize his work through a line of clothes based on the character Aurelio Casillas. He also mentioned that the series´high levels of audience lets them think about new seasons.“We are doing things well. It is flattering for me to continue doing this character. We have gained acceptance from the audience, after no one had faith in the first season, and some were even afraid that the ratings would be bad. Luckily, they were good and we are moving forward with this”, he stated. The actor, who has been part of stories such as La Reina del Sur and Alguien Nos Mira, mentioned that Aurelio Casillas has been such a hit that a line of shirts and hats based on the character was launched: “They are made by Mexican craftsmen from León and Guanajuato. The hats have my signature and we are doing runways. Soon we will launch the edition for children. We want to make the most of all the projects that can stem from this boom called El Señor de los Cielos”, he added. To end, he said that for the time being he will not go back to doing telenovelas, since “Mexico is in another stage in which people seek other options that are not limited to melodramas, and that series and teleseries are an example of that”.
