Endemol Shine Boomdog: We want to increase the number of fictions per year

Almost a year after the creation of Endemol Shine Boomdog, Alejandro Rincón, its CEO, feels that the partnership is consolidated. “The experience of working together has been excellent. All our common projects and processes are well aligned,” he expressed.
Beyond emphasizing the volume of hours a year that they are producing, Rincón wanted to highlight “the amazing team of people who work with us, which is what makes a difference.” He said they make one or two fictions per year and now want to increase that number.
From this year´s production and what is underway, he highlighted MasterChef Mexico, that is being aired, MasterChef Latino, that is in pre-production with Telemundo (the second season will be produced in Telemundo Center); LOL for Amazon, with Eugenio Derbez, that has already been delivered and is about to be launched, “we are very excited and hope a to have a second season”; ¡Mira Quién Baila! for Televisa and Univision (still in conversations regarding if it will be in Miami or in Mexico); The third season of El Vato for Universo and Netflix, which represented “a great joy when it won the Emmy and we are also in conversations for the fourth season”; Chumel with Chumel for HBO LatAm, which already announced a fourth season; and Nicky Jam: El Ganador that was launched this week on Netflix Latinoamérica (Telemundo´s announcement for the debut in the US and Puerto Rico is still pending).
Rincón expressed that they started the pre-production of Súbete a Mi Moto with Somos and they began the sixth season of Acapulco Shore for Viacom in Mexico. He also highlighted Se Busca Comediante for Comedy Central and Cámbiame el Look that presented the first transformation of a transgender woman in Mexico.
Other projects that are coming for 2019 are Juan Diego: The Story of Guadalupe (13×60’) –the first-ever scripted TV series based on Saint Juan Diego, the first Mexican-born Roman Catholic Saint with Somos. “The series is in development, and has a great deal of relevance for Mexico, it has global quality,” he said.
Additionally, the political thriller El Asesor (13×60’) with Mauricio Ochmann, protagonist and executive producer and his production company, A Toda Madre Entertainment; Celia Cruz: My Life; Orígenes (in development), an unscripted culinary series featuring three of the top chef’s in the world exploring their Latin American gastronomic roots; Under—is a docu-series following some of the biggest names in reggaetón, produced by Jessy Terrero and his company Cinema Giants and Sabina, a recently announced project with BTF Media, produced between Mexico, Spain and many countries from Latin America.
