Liliam Hernández, president & CEO and Gema López, president & COO of Universal Cinergía Dubbing announced the appointment for the new role of VP of Global Sales & Marketing to entertainment business executive Elisa Aquino.

Originally from Brazil, Aquino has been with the company as a sales executive for 3 years. She will report jointly to Hernández and López, and will be based at the company’s Miami headquarters. Aquino is responsible for global sales & marketing strategy.

Universal Cinergía is known throughout the entertainment world as a top professional dubbing and subtitling company with a portfolio that includes top U.S. Studios, Lionsgate, Amazon, Netflix, Eccho Rights, Kanal D, Deluxe, Canal Plus and several other major global media companies. Language specialty includes Spanish, Portuguese, English, French and Castilian with a total of 33 studios, located in Miami, São Paulo, Mexico City, Paris and Barcelona. Universal Cinergia Dubbing is a “preferred vendor” of DELUXE Media and Lionsgate. The company has been dubbing most of the global Turkish dramas in Spanish and Portuguese.

Aquino will put special focus on further developing business with the key U.S. Studios and digital platforms; major expansion into Asia and growing her native-Brazilian client base. She will be directing and implementing sales strategy, expanding revenue and overseeing the global sales team. In addition to her sales role, Aquino will handle global marketing campaigns including advertising and sponsorship, while continuing to draw on her long-standing, strong relationships with media contacts.
