WarnerMedia´s platform HBO Max presented its new content teams

WarnerMedia presented its teams for original programming, business operations, and strategy as the company develops its new platform HBO Max.

Sarah Aubrey will direct the original programming group as Head of Original Content, reporting to Kevin Reilly, Content director at HBO Max. The team includes Joey Chávez, executive VP, Original Drama; Jessie Henderson as executive VP, Original Feature Films; Jeniffer Kim as senior VP, International Originals; Suzanna Makkos as executive VP, Original Comedies and Animations; and Jennifer O’Connell as executive VP, Original Non-Fiction and Children.

Regarding the business operations and strategy team, Eric Besner has been appointed senior VP, Business and Strategy Development; whereas Sandra Dewey is now president of Commercial Operations and Production; Meredith Gertier is executive VP, Program Strategy and Planning; and Michael Quigley is executive VP, Content Acquisitions and Strategy. The team will report to Kevin Reilly.

According to Bob Greenblatt, Chairman of WarnerMedia Entertainment, “Kevin has gathered a stellar creative team for new originals and acquisitions that will make our HBO Max service insurmountable.”

The executive pointed out that with these originals and all the strength of WarnerMedia´s broad portfolio, including the power of HBO, they “couldn´t be prouder of the content we are gathering in this company that will attract everyone in the home.”

Also, as part of the productions for the platform, they reported that the drama by The CW, Gossip Girl, based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar wil have a new version on HBO Max, made up of 10 episodes, produced by Fake Empire and Alloy Entertainment in partnership with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios. It will focus on a new generation of students in the private schools of Manhattan.
