Ricardo Coeto, CCO, and Francisco Cordero, CEO, both founders of BTF Media, announced that they have just completed the co-production of their first film in the US, with a Latin story and cast entirely spoken in English. They assure that they will continue this approach, as there is a great future in productions aimed at the US market with Latin stories.

“We feel proud of finishing five films in the course of a year, of which the last was La Exorcista. We have worked with different genres, two of the films are comedies, one is horror, and we are about to start filming a drama starring Omar Chaparro and directed by Alonso Álvarez, in addition to the one we did in the US,” said Cordero.

The year will end with an intense pipeline. In Mexico BTF Media is working on four series to close the year, one that is about to end, another that is half the way and two to be produced in the remainder of 2021: one starts in October and the other in November. In Chile, they have just finished filming their first Chilean series and their first documentary and are pre-producing the next series. In Argentina, they are closing Maradona: Sueño Bendito and starting pre-production of a movie for the beginning of next year. In Spain, they are finishing editing their first Spanish project and pre-producing the second.

After the series on Maradona, which premiered in October, BTF Media opened three local offices in Europe, which allowed them to have visibility in the processes, learn about incentives in those countries, learn about accounting and production management, as well as adapt their processes to new ways of working. An interaction that has given them know-how and growth as a company.
