Alejandro Treviño, Production Executive for Non-Scripted Originals for Chile, Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico at Amazon Studios, announced to EN VIVO that they are developing a production hub with Banijay, during the opening of its new offices in Mexico.

Treviño, who has been an actor and executive producer for several studios such as Disney and Facebook Watch before joining Amazon Studios in 2019, said that he is happy there. “The people are of a very high caliber. We all want to give the public the best product and we have achieved it so far with relationships, such as the one with Banijay”.

“This is the first time that we are developing a hub, where we are going to use a single production input for several territories”. They are deciding which of those products is going to be recorded so that those production resources are used for various territories. We hope that LOL: Last one laughing, is one of them, the first that we do.”

This initiative reinforces Amazon Studios’ commitment to Latin content, not only non-scripted, but also scripted, to produce originals for Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina.

He said that it has been a mutual learning relationship with Banijay, and production improvements in the development of the four seasons of LOL: Last One Laughing. “That is why we’re reviewing with Banijay all types of possibilities, and we are delighted that they opened offices in Mexico City, and we are here to congratulate them and wish them the best.”
