Norma Rodríguez, General Producer, and Daniel Sánchez, producer in the field of post-production of Cantarranas Film, were talking on #PRODUprimetime with Richard Izarra, and made known the services they offer and also showed their facilities.

Cantarranas Films is a Mexican boutique-type company that offers comprehensive production services, standing out particularly in audio, which they call “the invisible protagonist of content, such as foleys or sound effects, international tracks, and high quality of the audio. They have been in the market for over 12 years, although both have experience of more than two decades in the industry and are well-known in the Mexican market.

Norma Rodríguez showed her facilities in Petén Street in the Navarte colony in Mexico City, which include a conference room where it is possible to watch what is produced in the studio, the area of expendable sales, private offices that can be used by clients, dressing rooms, make up area, the studio, equipment rental, among other services. Additionally, they do post production in another headquarters they have in Naucalpan, in Bosques de Echegaray. There they have edition rooms, color correction rooms, speech rooms, in addition to a team of people with great experience in the area.

“We now have a group of writers, so we are also offering our own content, especially for children” said Norma Rodríguez.Daniel Sánchez started in audio because of his passion for music, and after he entered a studio that began in the industry. “We created these sounds, the steps, the textures to characterize these characters and what the story in the image dictates to us. Those are elements that make sound the invisible actor” he explained.

The name Cantarranas (Singing frogs) emerged as a tribute to Norma and Omar Rodriguez’s father, both founders of the company, because he recalls that his father said that the house was where you heard the frogs singing.“That is why we called it Cantarranas, as a tribute to my father and the whole family” he commented after recalling that his brother Omar is a producer, they have another brother who is a cameraman, and after meeting Daniel, this venture came up, which is currently his passion.
