The exit of JC Acosta from Paramount surprised the industry. He served as president of International Studios & Networks for Southern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

“I am extremely proud of my time at Paramount and, more importantly, the great teams I had the honor of working with. And the partners with whom we achieved many successes! Great things are coming! More to come!” Acosta told PRODU.

Paramount said that JC Acosta’s departure – with immediate effect – is part of a transition from the company’s international markets to a more global brand leadership.

JC’s contribution has been instrumental in launching Paramount+ in Latin America, acquiring Chilevisión and TeleColombia, and leading the production business, which included thousands of hours of premium content developed in more than a dozen studios around the world. “We are incredibly grateful for his leadership, his mentorship of so many, and his unwavering dedication to growing our international business,” said a Paramount spokesperson.
