Canela Media and Exile to co-produce S2 of Club Mundo Kids

Canela Media announced a partnership with Exile Content Studio to co-produce season 2 of the popular children’s series, Club Mundo Kids. Season 2 will feature ten episodes teaching children about the world they live in, spanning from mindfulness to making friends and social skills. The series will also feature STEM-focused episodes about space travel and NASA’s Artemis project. It will air exclusively on Canela Kids.
Club Mundo Kids is a children’s program full of fun, discovery, and wonder for the whole family. The Club Mundo Kids world is built specifically for an audience who rarely sees themselves reflected on screen, despite being the fastest-growing demographic in the country. The complete Club Mundo Kids season 1 will first debut on the all-new Canela Kids app, available in December 2022. Season 2 of Club Mundo Kids will premiere in 2023.
“Club Mundo Kids is such a light-hearted and fun show that teaches children about the communities around them and the importance of culture and understanding, which is very much in line with Canela Media’s mission to elevate the representation of Latinos in the world of media and entertainment in front and behind the cameras,” said Maggie Salas-Amaro as director of Canela Kids. “We have been working closely with Exile to develop this incredible content and cannot wait to share it with Latino parents when the Canela Kids app launches this December.”
The live-action show follows host Romi (Romina Puga), and her puppet neighbors, Maya and Coco, as they embark on exciting and wacky adventures around the Club. Each episode focuses on a specific theme and features animated explainers, special guests, and even experts who join Romi to answer kid-submitted questions about topics like the environment, wildlife, space exploration, and much more. Every character on the show is meant to represent an archetype specific to the Hispanic & Latino community.

Club Mundo Kids joins other great children’s programming including Moonbug Kids (CoComelon, Blippi, Little Baby Bum, My Magic Pet Morphle, T-Rex Ranch, Gecko’s Garage, ARPO, and many more); Love Nature; Mundo Pequeño (Pocoyo, Rainbow Ruby, Robocar Poli, and RAGGS); and timeless classics like Angelina Ballerina, Barney and Where in the World is Carmen San Diego.
