FIAP’s Daniel Marcet: The US Hispanic market is one of the most important actors in the FIAP

Daniel Marcet, FIAP’s CEO, talked to PRODU by the end of the annual FIAP conference, together with AHAA, to share his thoughts about the 2014 edition of the advertising event.“The balance is really positive, it is the third year that we are organizing the FIAP in Miami, we needed to consolidate here somehow. We had a very complete program and people’s answer was very good,” Marcet commented. Regarding the festival, Marcet assures that the jury was very satisfied with the submitted work, formed by pieces of great creativity. When talking about the US Hispanic market, he thinks it has shown a great growth. “From not being in the ranking to be winning the Radio Grand Prix for second consecutive year and with many gold prizes, in the US, it is already one of the most important actors in the FIAP,” he stated. Additionally, the CEO underlined the performance of Brazil during the Latin America Cup in which it won five out of the nine categories that are part of the event. “In the Latin America Cup, what we do is to re-classify all the gold prizes in ten categories and the jury evaluates the pieces in a very different way as it is done in other festivals, since the idea is evaluated out of the media for which it was designed. No festival except from FIAP and DECAP evaluate that way and we think this way is much closer to reality,” he ended.
