Jimmy Iovine, Tim Cook de Apple y Dr. Dre dueño de Beats
Apple announced the purchase of the electronic company Beats for US$3 trillion, paying US$2,600 trillion immediately and the rest during a non-revealed period. The purchase, subject to authorizations, was made a week after Apple offered their annual conference of developers in San Francisco, where it is expected the company gives more details of this new purchase.”Music is something very important in our lives and it has a very special place in our hearts in Apple. That is why we continue investing in music and we can have these extraordinary teams together,” Tim Cook, Apples CEO, said.If approved, this would be the most expensive purchase of Apple since February 1997, when they bought NeXT, the company led by Steve Jobs, at that time.”I always knew in my heart that Beats belonged to Apple. The idea of having this company came when we were inspired by Apple and their natural ability of join culture and technology,” Jimmy Iovine, founder of Beats, along with rapper Dr. Dre. Beats Music, that currently competes in the streaming US market with Spotify, Rdio and Google Music, will report directly to Eddy Cue, Apples software and Internet services senior VP.
