Campanario: We are preparing pilot of reality program Padres Encubiertos

Maribel Ramos-Weiner| 9 de marzo de 2017

Six episodes of Padres Encubiertos have already been shot in Mexico

The most recent of the diverse projects Campanario is developing a reality program called Padres Encubiertos, six episodes of which have already been shot in Mexico. They are seeking a partner to make six more episodes, and thus finish the first season.

Padres Encubiertos is a cross between Nanny 111 and Mrs. Doubtfire. We are currently in negotiations with open TV networks in Mexico and the US. We are working with a psychologist and a team of experts in special effects, in charge of the parents´ transformations. The psychologist orients the undercover parents –through a device they have in their ear- on how to handle their children. At the end of each episode, the nanny reveals her true identity to her children,” explains Diana Mejía-Jones, the company’s Development and Marketing VP in Spanish.

Another project Campanario is working on is with the youtuber Werevertumorro –who conducts Laugh Factory in Spanish (also from Campanario)- whose tentative title is Los Bros del Gaming y Retos. “This second project with Werevertumorro will be a digital gaming series,” she says.

Werevertumorro is a youtuber with more than 12 million followers on YouTube and 21 million on Facebook.

She expressed that with Laugh Factory in Spanish, aside from the program (set for a first 10×60’ season), they also want to tour. She mentioned that in approximately three months they would announce an agreement for their broadcast in a streaming service or premium pay TV channel.

She added that regarding the documentary Fuerte, made with Dhana Media, they are in conversations with several festivals such as Sundance, where they have big chances.
