Watch is a platform for all creators and publishers
Facebook has introduced the new Watch section, which will include live recordings, videos and original content.
After the launch of the tab titled Video in 2016, the company decided to provide a space to its users where they can more easily find the audiovisual content that interests them.
Watch is available for mobile devices, desktop, laptops and in the company’s TV apps.
According to the statement, the programs consist of episodes —live or recorded— that follow a theme or story. To help users keep up with their favorite shows, Watch also has a Watchlist so you do not miss out on the latest episode, among other options.
Watch is a platform for all creators and publishers to find an audience, build a community of passionate fans, and earn money for their work.
To help inspire creators and seed the ecosystem, Facebook also funded some shows that are examples of community-oriented and episodic video series.
