Carlos Hulett, president, and CEO of VIVOplay

Carlos Hulett, president, and CEO of VIVOplay, informed that his presence in Mipcom is, among other things, to acquire content for their VOD gallery and seek alliances. “We are very interested in contents such as concerts and special events, also in fiction. Additionally, we are in the process of seeking co-producers for original productions that we want to do in 2018.”

VIVOplay’s main interest is in premium Latin American series from the main channels, from the most important countries in the industry in the region. “Entertainment formats are also very important for us”.

Hulett announced the incorporation of Fabiola Paravisini as new Content director and Victoria González as Marketing director. “Two important incorporations for the expansion process the company is going through”. Hulett stated that soon they will integrate with some important media groups in the region, mainly top channels.

The executive, a pioneer of the OTT service in Venezuela, also informed that they expect to launch for October their new studio in Caracas, Venezuela. “For informative content, mainly. But also for the co-production, entertainment formats, and any other original content. We are also interested in humor”.

Recently, VIVOplay, for a better effectiveness in their services, signed an agreement with the company Jump, to enter their platform and to have access to a business intelligence tool, where they explain in detail what is happening with their video service, their users or their content, and even what is going to happen in the future.
