Kelly Wright, Distribution and New Businesses VP at Keshet, confirmed the making of a fiction co-development for the Mexican market with TV Azteca. Both companies had already worked together in the development of the Mexican version of the game show BOOM!.

“Mexico is a very important market for us and that is why we have our production office there. Besides, it is a bridge between the US and the rest of Latin America,” she added.

The executive commented that they want to build a content import and export business that allows the introduction of content in the region and at the same time, to discover new stories and creators in Latin America to take them to other countries.

The Israelian Company currently has co-production agreements for non-fiction programs with Mega from Chile and Telefe from Argentina, and the Keshet Mexico office is working on projects for Colombia and Brazil.

Regarding fiction, they are developing two co-productions: a biblical story with a Brazilian production company and with Nine Media Group a story of Argentinean origin that is going to become a great international thriller.

The company will soon be at Mip Cancún, where they will present their entertainment programs, including the game show Domination and some canned dramas.

This will be the first time that Kelly will attend Mip Cancún. “We were very successful in the past and hope to have meetings with traditional and new clients. For us, it is a good opportunity to meet clients from Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador that have productions that work in other markets.
