Esperanza Garay, after 16 years in Telemundo Internacional, decided to leave the company as of next Monday, April 16 to explore new projects.
Garay joined Telemundo Internacional in 2007 when Telemundo acquired Tepuy Internacional, where she had worked since 2000. Since then, she has been responsible for Telemundo Internacional portfolio sales for open TV and pay TV in Latin America as senior VP of International Sales and Acquisitions for Latin America. She also oversaw the purchase of new content for global distribution by Telemundo Internacional, bringing new growth opportunities for the company.
Garay performed an essential role in Telemundo Internacional, building and strengthening the company’s relationships throughout the region.
The executive began her career in 1990 with Zebracom, a TV and home video film distribution company. At the time, Tepuy (today Telemundo Internacional) started to launch Colombian products abroad and Marcos Santana summoned her to work in the company with headquarters in Miami to handle sales in Latin America.
