Bolívar, Una Lucha Admirable (60×60′) will be the most important series on the story of this important world-class figure. This super series will take his story before becoming a legend to the screen. The story of Simón behind Bolivar, the man beyond the figure.
Bolívar changed history with the idea of uniting his people to end the oppression of the Spanish empire, becoming a synonym of bravery and passion. But, beyond the well-known liberator, the series will also tell the story of the Simon in and out of the battlefield, as well as the details of his tormenting sentimental life; from the death of his mother when he was a child, the death of his first wife months after their wedding, his multiple lovers when he quit believing in love and, finally, his passionate romance with Manuelita Sáenz, who became a protagonist of his revolutionary feat and the love of his life.
This ambitious production will cross all borders for being shot in the most spectacular landscapes in Toledo and Aranjuez (Spain), and in real locations where the Liberator made histories, such as Cartagena, Villa de Leyva, Monguí, Cali, Popayán and the natural landscapes of the Andes mountain range and the eastern plains in Colombia.
