Mar Martínez-Raposo, director of Atresmedia Internacional: There is still a clear commitment to pay TV
Atresmedia Internacional announced recently the entry of atresplayer into the mvshub platform in Mexico.
“We are very pleased with this agreement with the mvshub platform, initially for the Mexican market, as they have plans to expand into other countries. In Mexico, the platform is already launching with the integration of our atresplayer. This will expand our possibilities of reaching new subscribers,” said Mar Martínez-Raposo, director of Atresmedia Internacional, in an interview with PRODU.
Martínez mentioned that the company has a long history of working with MVS, the owners of mvshub.
Regarding the South American market, Martínez indicated that they have a strong presence in Argentina and Chile, where they have also integrated atresplayer into VTR. They are in talks with several operators to continue expanding atresplayer, “which is the next step,” as their linear channels are well established in the region.
She added that in Uruguay, they are present with cable operators like Antel.
Martínez mentioned that during Jornadas, she heard from several executives of large companies that the commitment to pay TV remains strong.
“There is still a clear commitment to pay TV. We like that because we are invested in it and produce a lot of content,” she pointed out.
