Ueno Bank And Paraguayan Artisans Turn Red Earth Into A Tribute To The World Rally Championship

The World Rally Championship will take place in Paraguay from August 27 to 31.
For the first time in history, Paraguay will host a stage of the World Rally Championship (WRC), the world’s most prestigious rally competition. This event, taking place from August 27 to 31, marks a milestone for motorsport in Paraguay and places the country at the center of the international stage.
Committed to being present where great stories are made, ueno bank joins as an official sponsor of the event, reaffirming its dedication to sports, culture, and national talent.
As part of this historic occasion, ueno bank presents a unique proposal that celebrates both the event and the roots of the country: “World Rally on Paraguayan Soil.” Inspired by the connection between rally racing, the strength of the red earth, and Guaraní identity, the campaign highlights what makes Paraguay unique—its passion, its people, and its unstoppable energy.
The concept stems from a powerful idea: the red clay found throughout Paraguay’s countryside, used in traditional local crafts, becomes a symbol of strength, resilience, and craftsmanship—values that also define rally racing and those who make it possible.
In collaboration with the Association of Artisans of Areguá, a series of 30 clay plates were handcrafted by Paraguayan artisans, each depicting the WRC route in Itapúa, Encarnación during August 2025 through the country’s native landscapes. Among the scenes represented are the Jesuit Ruins, the iconic blooming pink lapacho tree (tajy), the San José Mill on Encarnación’s waterfront, San Rafael Falls, and the bridge to Posadas, Argentina.
Through this initiative, ueno bank pays tribute to the land that saw us born—a land that now becomes the stage for the world’s top rally drivers. A land that vibrates, that trembles, that lives speed with the same intensity it faces every challenge.
