Edye, the only premium content platform for preschoolers designed specifically for children in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, announces the premiere of its new original series El Elevador de Albie, a co-production with WHYY (PBS Philadelphia), available starting December 1.
El Elevador de Albie invites children to explore art, emotions, and the power of creativity through the curious and enthusiastic eyes of Albie, a seven-year-old girl who lives in a very special place.

Each episode begins with Albie in the middle of her play, inventing songs and starting her day with excitement. Throughout her adventures, she encounters emotional and social challenges typical for her age—such as patience, empathy, or jealousy—and with the help of her friends and visiting artists, she finds creative ways to work through them.
The series fosters the social-emotional development of preschoolers, addressing themes such as positive identity, empathy, cooperation, conflict resolution, and valuing diversity. El Elevador de Albie also incorporates visual, performing, and literary arts learning, inspiring children to create, respond, and connect with art and their community.
The curriculum was developed based on the guidelines from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the PBS Kids Arts Learning Framework.
“At Edye, we deeply believe in the power of art and emotions to nurture children’s holistic development. El Elevador de Albie reflects our mission to offer programming that supports young children in their early learning, sparking their imagination and helping them understand the world with empathy and creativity,” said Erika Vogt-Lowell, VP of Content and Strategy at HITN.
Caitlin Corkery, producer of El Elevador de Albie for WHYY, added: “With El Elevador de Albie, we wanted to create a space where children feel understood and empowered to express what they feel. Through art and imagination, we seek to show that every emotion—big or small—is an opportunity to learn and grow.”
El Elevador de Albie reaffirms Edye’s commitment to providing high-quality educational and entertaining content, carefully designed to accompany children in their first steps towards a future full of curiosity, art and discovery.
