Producer Ángel Aponte: “¿Apostarías Por Mí? Is One Of The Biggest Projects We’ve Done At Televisaunivision”

TelevisaUnivision officially unveiled ¿Apostarías Por Mí?, its new 24/7 multiplatform reality show produced by Ángel Aponte, based on a format by Abot Hameiri Communication, distributed by Dori Media International and produced by Fremantle for TelevisaUnivision. It will premiere on January 18 on Univisión, UNIMÁS, Las Estrellas and ViX.

The project will be hosted by Alejandra Espinoza and Alan Tacher, with a large-scale operation based in Brazil and simultaneous broadcast on free-to-air television and streaming.

“What we want to do with ¿Apostarías Por Mí? is connect with the audience and entertain them,” said Aponte.

For the producer, the project reflects a clear belief about today’s viewing habits: “The audience no longer just wants to watch—they want to participate, give their opinion and make decisions,” he emphasized.

A LARGE-SCALE PROJECT

Aponte detailed the size of the production in Brazil: “It’s a truly gigantic project,” he said. “We’re producing from a location of more than 65,000 square meters on the outskirts of São Paulo.”

The reality show brings together 24 participants from across Latin America, aged between 25 and 66. “We have participants from Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, the U.S. and Mexico,” he explained.

The technical operation is massive: “We have more than 600 people working, around 400 production vehicles, over 40 robotic cameras and more than 60 microphones,” he noted.

“We operate with three control rooms working in eight-hour shifts. We’re literally going to have breakfast, lunch and dinner ¿Apostarías Por Mí?.”

AN ISOLATED VILLA AND A 24/7 FORMAT

He added that the participants will be completely isolated: “The participants are cut off from the outside world. Only two people have access to the villa: Alejandra Espinoza and Alan Tacher,” he said.

The reality show will air live 24/7 on ViX, with daily shows and prime-time galas.

“It’s a reality show full of emotion, live from start to finish across the entire American continent,” Aponte stated.

HOSTS, ANALYSTS AND MULTIPLATFORM CONTENT

In addition to Espinoza and Tacher, Roberto Hernández joins as co-host. Arana Lemus and Lambda García will host the exclusive pre- and post-shows on ViX.

The panel of analysts will include Lupillo Rivera, Cecilia Galliano and Jorge Lozano H., who will analyze strategies, bets and the couples’ decisions during the live broadcasts.

PARTICIPANTS AND DYNAMICS

¿Apostarías por mí? will bring together 12 celebrities and their partners, who will put their relationships to the test in an environment of extreme coexistence. The tenth confirmed couple is Salvador Zerboni and Marcela Ruiz. The winning couple can take home up to US$300,000, with exclusive voting on ViX.

“This project was created so the audience can get involved, participate and be part of the game,” Aponte reiterated.

The reality show positions itself as one of TelevisaUnivision’s major bets in multiplatform entertainment.
