Olek Loewenstein, president of Global Sports at TelevisaUnivision, announced an expanded sports offering
TelevisaUnivision announced an expanded sports offering during its Upfront presentation. “Our commitment to serving Hispanic sports fans in the U.S. is unmatched, and that is exemplified through our expanded sports offering, bringing soccer, Formula 1, and the Super Bowl to an audience that continues to drive the growth of leagues across the country. Live sports continue to play a fundamental role in our content strategy, and our industry-leading Spanish-language portfolio ensures that we meet viewers during the most important moments in sports across our entire ecosystem — with passion, within their culture, and in their language,” said Olek Loewenstein, president of Global Sports at TelevisaUnivision.
The company finalized a new agreement with ESPN to serve as the Spanish-language home of Super Bowl LXI, which will air live on Sunday, February 14, 2027, from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
In addition, the company doubled down on its commitment to soccer, announcing new agreements with Concacaf, Conmebol, and the Mexican Football Federation, offering the best of North, Central, and South American soccer, as well as Mexico’s National Team for the coming years — complementing a slate of European soccer matches on ViX to serve soccer fans across all platforms.
TelevisaUnivision also has a collaboration with Apple to bring Formula 1 to Univision with dedicated pre- and post-race programming. The company will simulcast the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday, November 21.
