Fernando Barbosa, Head of Content Sales, Content Acquisitions and Platform Distribution for Disney Latin America, led the company’s screening event held last Wednesday the 20th at its Burbank studios, where part of the company’s slate and upcoming releases were presented, including Latin American films, series and major productions.

One of the highlights of the presentation was the National Geographic catalog, which Barbosa described as “the most competitive and strongest in the brand’s recent history.”

Among the featured titles were the documentary series Do Not Attempt, about renowned American magician and mentalist David Blaine; Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember, an emotional documentary exploring the actor’s relationship with his father; and the continuation of The Secrets Of franchise, which will include installments dedicated to octopuses, penguins and bees.

Also highlighted were the return of Will Smith with the adventure and exploration series Pole to Pole, and Stanley Tucci with Tucci in Italy, a culinary and cultural series. Joining them is Lion, a major special project from John Favreau, an extension of the work he has been doing with immersive visual technologies and photorealistic nature storytelling, among other innovations. In addition, the first episode of the new NatGeo series Pompeii was screened.

Barbosa delivered a warm welcome message and expressed deep appreciation for the value of long-term business relationships. “Thank you for taking the time this morning to come here, and for the excellent turnout at this weekend’s event centered around the universe of The Mandalorian and Grogu.

During his speech, he emphasized the vital importance of clients and strategic partners to the company’s existence and continued growth over the decades.

“I want to remind you that without you, we do not exist. We are always here to serve you.” He also gave special recognition and thanks to his entire team, both those present at the event and those working from the Miami offices.
